Cant get it to play external general MIDI module through my irig MIDI interface I dont believe it has core MIDI compliance and it appears to be riddled with bugs. Cant find any real technical support help on the app. Your completely on your own with this one.

Bugs in 4.0 need to be fixed

Version 3 was great, and it is great to be able to play midi files on a cell phone. After new version 4.0 crashed a lot, the new version 4.1 is more stable. But it seems to keep drawing power after you run it once. So you have to power down your cell phone after playing a midi file if you dont want the battery to run out in a few hours. Hopefully that bug will be fixed in the next version.

Getting tired of this.

Every update creates more bugs from the previous one. Random instruments are being silenced and changed and no changes I MAKE save now.

In app upgrade purchase causes crash

I was liking the app and just upgraded, and then after selecting any song, it crashes. Havent found a way to contact developer yet.

MIDI Player 3 was way better.

I thought oh cool, he finally made some fixes and updates, but no.... He flippin changed the entire format of the app. I loved all the features of 3 and its simplicity. Plus 3 had little to no bugs. If I could I would find a way to downgrade back to 3, I would. 4 is okay, but it has way too many glitches, a very confusing layout compared to 3, and the developers arent very good at communicating any more. If you can restore the entire feel of and smoothness of 3 in version 5, plus the additions in v4, without the bugs, I will consider updating to 5 stars. Very disappointed in 4. 2 and 3 were WAY better.

Some good features but overall mediocre

While this may be useful for practicing with midi files, it is unsuitable for performances. 1) It crashes a lot 2) while playlist creation is better than many of its competitors, using the playlists in a performance setting is clumsy. 3) The display of karaoke lyrics is unsuitable, certainly for an audience for sing-alongs, etc, but probably for the musician trying to use them. However, the ability to display the chords in the midi file is a plus and should not be discounted.

Cant open my own midi files...

Waste of money. No Dropbox integration, or any cloud drive, so I can open my own midi files. Stay away!
